Early Release from Probation -

At my sentencing the judge said he didn' see any reason why I shouldn't be able to get off probation as sopon as I pay off my restitution. Now one year later I have and what is the procedure for getting a early release for prbation? please and thank you, shelliann

Hi Sheila Ann,

Thanks for your question. I'm glad you are doing so well on probation. You need a hearing before your judge so that he can close your case early. If things are going well with your probation officer the officer should be able to set it up for you. Otherwise, have a lawyer do it. Remember, you can get a free lawyer if you cannot afford one. Or, you could try to contact the court directly to set up a review date yourself.
