Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
Electronic home monitoring
I was just wondering if you could give me any information on the cost of home monotoring. Also if someone is serving time in another county but is getting sentenced in a different county can they get home monotoring added together.

Re: Electronic home monitoring
Electronic Home Monitoring (EHM) costs vary. Contact the county jail staff that would be supervising the EHM for costs. Typically, there is an application fee. Daily costs can be from $10 - $12.
You do not have to reside in the county that will supervise the EHM. However, you would need authorization from the sentencing court to serve a jail term on EHM. The court order may also need to clearly state that out-of-county EHM is approved.
