Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
An employee caught another employee embezzling money from the company. If the first employee was paid money to not report the crime, does he become an accessory?

Not enough information about specifics so this answer will have to be hypothetical. There would need to be proof in the exchange of money and the circumstances. Then there is conceivable charge of bribery can be foreseen in addition to embezzling. And the other employee can face other serious charges as well or not as it would depend. Seek legal cousel asap.
