Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

expunging record of a class b felony

My first offence was drinking induced and I do not think it was handeled the right way. I now have a Class ''B'' felony for Res Burglary for walking into the wrong house while I was drunk. Is it possible to get this expunged from my recored in less than 10yrs? Also can I leave the country if it is not expunged?

Re: expunging record of a class b felony

It sounds like your case was not handled the right way. I believe you can seek to have it expunged or vacated in 5 years. If you are a US citizen you are free to travel in and out of the country as you see fit assuming there isn't some probation or community supervision limitation on your travel. If you are not a US citizen you should contact me directly to discuss your case. My firm handles immigration matters and would be happy to consult with you.
