Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
extortion
Since I have a family member who is an executive at a bank. Is that bank finantialy liable to me, because other people have tried to extort money from that bank, by harming me and my friends?

There is no legal liability on the part of the bank for you. The bank may be liable for employees who are acting on behalf of the bank. In no circumstance would the bank have a legal obligation to pay extortion money.
