Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
Fourth Degree DV
Received letter stating sufficient grounds to prosecute, my husband who left before police arrived I didn't call, witnesses did. Question is I did not want to do anything and told them I'm not pressing charges how can they charge him with anything if they haven't talked to him? They know I'm not going to cooperate I told them that. Prosecuter wants me to talk to them to determine additional info for prosecution. Can they continue if I won't give them anything? He pulled me out of a truck I fell witness' saw he left cause they were yelling. Police said he shouldn't of left and he was being uncoopertive by leaving. So they want to prosecute

Re: Fourth Degree DV
If there are witnesses to the crime other than you the prosecution can go forward. Does your husband have a lawyer? If not, have him contact me.
