Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
Fraud/Larceny Question
A friend of mine stole my debit card from my purse. There was a slip of paper with my checking account number and pin in my purse as well. Said person deposited bad checks. The police are implying that they think I have something to do with it. I don't want to go to jail, I did nothing wrong. What can I do?

Re: Fraud/Larceny Question
Start by saying nothing to the police. If they want to question you, tell them you want a lawyer present. Don't let them talk you out of it. Other than that, you can consult with a lawyer to see if there is anything you can do to protect yourself.
