Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

a friend of mine was arrested on 2counts assalt1 and 1count robbery in the 1st and 2counts assalt 2 and there offering him 14 years or taking him to trial on attempted murder. my friend "appaerently" "robbed" a drug dealer for his drugs and money and the drug dealer was the one who shot at my friend first and thats when my friend shot back i dont belive any one was acctually hurt but the drug dealer and his girl friend called the cops and made a report and they issued a warrent for him. but can he be charged with robbery of a drug dealer? and if the othe guy shot first and nobody was hit can they get him for attempted murder or even assalt if no one was injured?

You can be charged with robbing a drug dealer. No one needs to get hurt for attempted murder. You only need to attempt to kill someone...not succeed. If the other guy shot first it sounds like your friend has "self-defense." Self-defense is very strong in Washington State and can even result in the government having to pay you back for your private lawyer. So, your friend should contact me directly right away.
