Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

One of my friends was sexually assaulted when she was 13 by one of her classmates. And apparently this boy has done it to many girls during the past few years (they are both 15 now)

My friend was one of the least dramatic cases and he did it worse to other girls. Me and my friends want to stop him/get justice for his past crimes. After the even actually happened some of the victims approached their school and the school said they couldn't help because it didn't happen on school property. We live in Washington state. What can we do?

It depends on a number of factors. First, the persons who were assaulted need to call 911 and file a police report. Another possible approach is to go to the prosecuting attorney's office of the county where the assaults occurred and speak with a staff member about these assaults because some of them occurred some time ago. If there is a pattern or series of assaults, then that is the approach to take. Unless there is an assault that occurred within 24 hours, there is no use in seeking immediate police action in that the physical evidence of the assaults is already gone. The persons affected need to contact the police or prosecutor ASAP. Good Luck!
