Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
Gas Theft
My friend has pleaded guilty to stealing over $3 million dollars worth of gasoline ( he owned a business distributing gasoline to local stations ).
Now, if he had laundered a portion of his ''share'' of the theft, is he still able to access it after he serves his time ? The Feds and the State have already stated that they will seek restitution for taxes lost on the sale of the gas.

Re: Gas Theft
Thanks for your question. If he has successfully "laundered" the money then it will be available to him. However, if by access you mean it is in a traditional bank account in his own name then likely the tax issue will have caused the Feds/State to put a freeze on the account.
