Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
Ex girlfriend DOH investigation, lied in court
I have an ex girlfriend that is under active investigation with the Department of Health for controlled drugs being stolen from the Veterinary Clinic she works for. I know for a fact that she has stolen drugs.
At the end of our relationship I attempted to get a restraining order against her and it was denied. I did bring up in court that she is a drug abuser and I witnessed her stealing/using controlled substances. She (of course) lied during that court case.
The case is still under investigation but I believe that they will find not only missing drugs but evidence that she stole them as well.
I wonder if there is any legal action that I can persue for her lying in court, either civil or criminal.

Re: Ex girlfriend DOH investigation, lied in court
No. You may be a "victim" of her lying, and possibly her "love", but you have no compensable damages.
If she lied under oath, the prosecutor will determine whether to file charges.
Moreover, do you want to end the relationship or perpetuate it with a public audience who will dictate what you say and do?!
