Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

Hit and run

Someone hit my car and ran away when my car was parked in front of my house, and when I went out the house, the car was already gone. Unfortunately, I didn't see the car. However, the place I live is a dead end, and the car's direction was going inside. Moreover, there are some blue paint on my car, and also I found some pieces of the glass. Base on these evidence, I found a car which seems like. The car's paint is not original and looks like painting in rush. Moreover, the right front head light was just changed, and I can tell they are different. I wonder if the police will investgate in this case. And if not, what should I do?

Re: Hit and run

Call the police to find out question one. The sooner the better. If they will not, you can always sue the person in small claims court. The Judge may find your circumstancial evidence persuasive.
