illegal search
If you are illegally searched and property is seized: knife, marijuanna, pipe, video game, hat, can you get your property back that was taken in that illegal search if no charges will be filed due to that illegal search?

Yes. Contact the police department which seized the items or have an attorney do so and request the items back. Circumstances where you might not get them back even when no complaint was filed: if the investigation of the crime is still ongoing and/or if the statute of limitations has not run.
If the police refuse to provide it, you will need to get a Court order.
