Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

incest

my ex-girlfriends step dad sexually assaulted her. after my mom turned him in, she was forbidden to see me. Her mom loves him and forgives. They blame us for ''trying to hurt their family.'' I've been watching his case online. He was charged with incest 2nd degree, plead guilty to assault 3rd degree. I know he was told to stay away, but have seen the family out together many times since then. WA state. Now, I am wondering what kind of sentence he will get for this?

We dated from 9th grade to 11th grade. . .just wondering if life is fair?

Thanks so much for your time

Re: incest

I am sorry to hear about what happened to your girlfriend. It sounds like a very unhealthy situation with the dad still visiting. Life isn't fair. But you can try to make it fair for those you love. If you are aware of crimes you can report them to the police. Violating a court's order to stay away from someone is a crime. Good luck winning back your love.
