Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

intent to deliver in possession of .07grams meth

I am being charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. I was arrested for DWLS 3 and the officers searched my passanger as well as myself and the vehicle that I was borrowing from a friend. They claim to have found 2 bags each containing aproximately 7.0grams meth on the passanger and .07grams in a purse inside the vehicle that they are pinning on me. The passanger was charged with possession while I was charged with delivery. I was on my way to possibly purchase a vehicle so I had aproimately 9,531.00 with me.

Re: intent to deliver in possession of .07grams meth

A very serious case. Your best defense sounds like unwitting possession. I know that wasn't your purse. Also, track down the person you were buying the car from to testify that you were indeed on your way to purchase a vehicle for that amount. How were you to know that your passenger was carrying Meth on their person and in their purse?
