Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
A judge approved a restraining order on my 19 year old brother to stay away from his 16 year old girlfriend (it was requested by her parents, not by her) and the judge said there was no evidence to support a restraining order but he is going to approve it anyways because he has a 16 year old daughter and would do the same thing in the parents shoes. Is this legal? Since all court things are recorded, can we request the recording and sue the judge? Please help.

You can (or more correctly, your brother can) request the "record." With that, you can review whether the Judge had a possible legal basis for his decision. If not, you can appeal the decision. Further, you can make a complaint to the Judicial Conduct Committee. You cannot sue the Judge as he has immunity in his position as Judge when acting as Judge. I would review the record with an attorney before proceeding further. If you'd like further assistance then contact me directly.
