Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
What kind of form do I need?
I have an arraingment in court in a couple of weeks. I am being charged with possession of stolen property. The person who actually stol the property turned herself and was charged. This person is willing to write a statement for me to take to court saying that i did not ever have the stolen property in possesion and that i never knew about it. What kind of form can i use that the will accept for her to write and sign... is there certain things that need to be included on it so that it is credible? any help would be helpful

Re: What kind of form do I need?
It depends. Possession of stolen property is a serious offense and you coul dbe looking at serious jail or prison time. What degree of possession are you being charged with? Simply submitting a statement will not get you out of this mess. You will have to hire an attorney to help you get out of this matter. Trying todo it yourself is very risky and problematic at best. Good Luck!
