A felon who has lost the right to possess firearms AND who is not under supervision of the Dept. of Corrections is not prohibited from possessing archery equipment or air guns.
Generally, the felon becomes eligible to restore the right to possess firearms five years after the conviction date (or release from incarceration). There are exceptions and limitations to this general rule.
