Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

What happens if I say I lied

My ex was arrested for DV order of protection violation. This is the 3rd arrest in 2yrs. 2nd for me the other was BS and never should have gone to trial, he represented himself. 1st one with me was for a phone call and then this last time he pushed me when picking up our son. DA wants 6mo work rel. felony or 12/14mo prison. Over the top I totaly disagree with this and told them so he needs mental health, I am thinking of calling my advacate saying the ''I am sorry, I made it up. He wasn't even at my house that day'' will be my testimony. Will that stop this joke? they also sup. our 6yr son. the punishment here doesn't fit the crime. why are they insitant on making a person who at the moment a tax-paying part of society into a loser who will not even be able to get future employemnt, he will lose his current job if he goes to jail. It pisses me off that my sons dad will me in the same felony class as child molesters, rapeist, and murders after all it only askes have you ever been convicted of a felony yes or no on employemnt apps. Shouldn't they try to help our family unit, not that we are together but we have a child so will always have to have each other rather then tear it apart? BTW Never left a mark but had to see I would call
