Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

what is the maximum sentence...

An anonymous person turned someone in for dealing meth and OC pills. After raiding his house and finding at least a few hundred dollars worth of those drugs, what is the maximum sentence he could get? This person has only a juvenile record for car theft and restitution owed for car theft also. Its also possible that this person had thousands of dollars of stolen electronics, clothes, etc.

Re: what is the maximum sentence...

It is really impossible to say right now. The prosecutor has a lot of discretion in how they charge the offense. Different drugs can give rise to different charges. Amounts and how they are packaged can make the difference between possession and possession with intent to deliver. An informant can provide information that charges the whole thing to a delivery charge. Were there weapons? There might be weapon enhancements. Did they live near a school for a school zone enhancement? The amount of stolen good matter too. Are they clearly from different places meaning multiple counts of theft or even burglary or robbery?

Let's just say he could get a lot. Hopefully, he has a good lawyer. If you'd like further assistance, contact me directly.
