Re: Misdeamener
Actually, over $1500 is not a misdemeanor but a class B felony--theft 1st degree. Also, depending on how it was stolen it could also be forgery, fraud, burglary, robbery. The penalty can be up to 10 years in prison and/or a $20,000 fine. The actually sentence will depend on a number of variables to numerous to discuss exhaustively but include such things as prior history, the vulnerability of the victim, any rehabilitation on the part of the accused. This is a serious case. You should get a lawyer's help as soon as possible. Contact me directly if you'd like to know more.
