Can a jury in a murder 1 trial case communicate with the victims loved ones?

Absolutely not before or during the trial. If that has happened, then this should be reported to both the prosecutor and the defense lawyer(s) IMMEDIATELY. Good Luck!

Not before they reach a verdict. After they are discharged from the case they are just like everybody else.

Not while trial is going on or before. They are forbidden from discussing the case with anyone connected to it, including other jurors.
