Negligent driving 1st degree 1st offense
Can this be reduced to lesser offense? What are the penalities? should I retain a lawyer?

Thanks for the question. Yes it can be reduced,to a non criminal infraction, neg 2nd degree. You should always get a lawyer when charged with a crime.
