Second occurrence of shoplifting in Seattle

I was caught shoplifting in Bellevue last summer, for which I was given fines, community service, and 12 mo probation. I was caught again last fall in Seattle, and was given community service. Now I am being called back to court for a Review Hearing in Bellevue, I assume because they found out about the crime in Seattle.

Does anyone have an informed opinion as to how this hearing will go? What are my chances of going to jail? In both cases the dollar amounts taken were less than $50, if that makes any difference. I have since begun therapy to address my problems and depression, but my attorney doesn't feel that the judge will care to see any letters from my therapists on my behalf. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

That's too bad. The second shoplift. It is relevant to the first if your behavior was driven by mental health issues that you are now treating. I'm not sure how your attorney can feel that will not be helpful. If the therapists letters say you have mental health issues, you are treating thosse issues and those issues likely contributed to your criminal behavior, you need a new attorney.
