Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
pardons
9 years ago I was wrongfully convicted of a crime and the court appointed lawyer that I had also put on the record that he did not represent me correctly. I went through the appeal process but the wrong avenues were taken and I did not win plus there was a question of the money they would have to pay me for the wrongful conviction. I want to go for a pardon and I am unsure what to write and how to go about doing this. I want justice after 9 years and I want to get on with my life. Can you please help me and give me information to help me succeed if I even have a chance. Thank you very much.

Re: pardons
A Q&A bulletin board is not the place to look for an answer to your problem, particularly with no details, facts or circumstances. Consult an experienced criminal defense attorney in your area, or in Olympia, and ask if they handle pardons. You might want to contact the Clemency & Pardons Board for a referral. There are also legal referral services, which you can find at www.waaccesstojustice.org/lawref.
It would be beneficial for you to review the pardon statute: RCW 9.94A.885.
