Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
I have no past criminal acts, I am currently charged with 4th degree assault, I was told that I don't qualify for a court appointed lawyer. Where can I get low cost legal help and is this a serious charge with long lasting implications?

For a lawyer you will need to shop around. You can contact me directly to discuss what my fee would be. Is the assault Domestic Violence? If so, the long lasting implications are much greater than a regular 4th degree assault. Whether the long lasting implications are serious for your situation depend on your particular situation...your career, your immigration status, how your girlfriend/spouse feels about you having this record, etc.
