Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
Posting emails
I posted emails from an ex on a online blog. She said she is going to file a suit against me because I exploited her by posting the emails she sent to me. Is this possible and what kind of charges could even be filed against me?

Re: Posting emails
She may be suing you for some form of privacy invasion or defamation. On the first, there may not be an expectation of privacy in e-mail. On the second, there is a defense to defamation of 'truth.' Contact me directly when you know more. She'll need to bring the suit against you by personally serving you a summons--which will outline her allegations.
