You should plead not guilty until you know all the details of your case. Too many people try to resolve their cases quickly only to discover later that doing so is a big mistake.

Arraignment is about making sure you are properly informed of the charges and to deal with bail issues. Assuming you have no prior record, chances are the court should not impose bail but should release you on your own recognizance. Out of an abundance of caution, if I were you, I would have someone waiting for a phone

call to post bail just in case.

You don't need to take any paperwork with you.

Lastly, do not under any circumstances enter a guilty plea. Theft 3 is a crime of moral turpitude, meaning you can be impeached with it if you ever testify at any hearing. Second, it may prevent you from ever having a job that requires a security clearance, a bond or handling cash. Further, how do you know they can prove their case against you? That's what talking to a lawyer can help you decide. Lastly, even if you are guilty and they can prove it, most prosecutors offices have a diversion program which will allow you to avoid a conviction by going through a program. Again, an attorney can help you get into such a program. Feel free to contact me if you would like some more personal advice.
