Re: probation
Your probation officer is unkind. Unfortunately, there are many unkind people. No specific prohibitions apply to probation officers. So, anything that falls short of actual slander is permissible. I question your probation officer's tactics and desire to help you overcome the drug problem. Clearly, spreading the information and having people treat you like a "drug user" likely makes it harder to stay clean. I don't see any criminal cause of action against the probation officer. Perhaps you should ask an attorney that does libel and slander cases. However, likely they will say that as long as what the officer is saying is true than you have no claim.
