Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
Probation Transfer
I have a friend who is about to get out of jail in Washington state for a drug related felony. He is going to be on probation for a year. We both feel that going back into the same old environment will not be appropriate for him and he would like to move to Florida where I own a house to start a new clean life. My question is how should he go about trying to get a probation transfer from Washington to Florida? Thank you.

Re: Probation Transfer
He can make a request to his probation officer, who would put the matter before the Judge. If the Judge approves of the transfer, you will be allowed to do it.
