Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
prosecting attorney
I have not yet been charged with a crime but my case has been sent to the prosecuting attorneys office. Do I have a right to also submit information to them? EX. statements. additional police reports from another county? I don't want the prosecutor to approve the charges and I dont think that she will if i can provide my information.

Re: prosecting attorney
What you say is correct in that the prosecutor could consider additional evidence in making their decision. It is up to the prosecutor whether to consider this additional information. However, you must remember that everything you say will be used against you, including writings/statements you submit. I highly recommend you consult with an attorney and have an attorney choose what information to present to the prosecutor. Contact me directly if you'd like further assistance.
