Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
I recently (yesterday) went into a pet store at the mall and was appalled by the state of most of their furrier animals. The store had extremely over-crowded 10 gallon glass tanks (30+ mice per tank, 10-15 teddy bear hamsters per cage, and 4-7 full size rats per tank.) There were several dead mice because they were piled on top of each other to sleep and nobody bothered to remove the dead bodies, and there was one mouse with an untreated wound that had brown pus coming out of it. A few of their teddy bear hamsters were bleeding from the tail (Also untreated.) The rats were bickering from being overcrowded with no exercise outlet as none of the cages had any exercise wheel in them. Also, in every animals cage their water had a light green tint to it ( possibly an additive a pet store might add though) and their food dish had lots of bedding shavings in it. I want to know my best options for being able to put a stop to this pet store creulty. Thank you very much for your time and advice.

Dial 911 and report the situation. You may be referred to an animal control agency, but 911 is the starting point for any criminal matter.
