Do i need an attorney to do an defered on a reckless driving ticket if i have never went for a defered prosecution before?

An attorney can review your case to see if you may actually be in the rare circumstances that would indicate a deferred prosecution (once in a lifetime alternative) is appropriate.

While there are significant consequences for a reckless driving conviction, a deferred prosecution program requires not only an acknowledgment that you suffer from alcoholism or mental health defects, but that you are committed to successfully completing treatment.

You do not need an attorney to enter a deferred prosecution. That said, I highly recommend you speak with an attorney as I seriously doubt you'll want to use your one time per lifetime deferred prosection on a reckless driving charge.
