School Zone Enhancement

Penalty enhancement for vucsa within 1000 feet of school bus route stop - law states - ''if the local governing authority specifically designates 1000 foot perimeter.'' Local gov. authority is county council - designation is via ordinance or resolution written by lead agent of dept. of public works. What happens if a county had not written this ordinance? How do you determine if a law contains an enactment clause?

You have two questions. If the local authority did not write the law, then there is no ordinance. You can check on the law by contacting the county council's assistant and you should also check with the prosecuting attorney's office regarding this matter.
