Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
seizure of truck
I was arrested in my driveway and taken to jail. i bailed out and when i returned home my truck was gone. i called the sheriffs office and they said it had been seized. i have recieved nothing regarding this and no charges were filed against me and now my bail was just exonerated, how do i go about getting my truck back?

You must act quickly. There are deadlines for filing claims. Contact the sheriff's office about their procedure. However, they can sometimes just stall you until it is too late to sue them for your truck. Talk to a lawyer immediately about suing them for your truck so that you don't miss a deadline for filing.
