shoplifting

ok i live in marysville wa i took my kids shopping and they picked out jackets my youunger doughter wanted to ware hers so i let her my oldest is six she out hers in the cart we went about shping paid for every thing in the cart then as i was waslking out i realized i did not pay for 2 bags of chips witch my kids had run off with so i got back in line and paid for them we then left and went next door witch does not include walking out side the LP took us into a back room from there called the cops and said we had shplifted the jacket witch i forgot about now this is the 2 time this has happen to me the jacket was 24.99 what will happen to me

The prosecutor will want a conviction the second time around. If you truly want to fight the case, you should hire an attorney and go to trial. Intent is a requirement for a conviction.
