Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
shoplifting
I shoplifted at Macy's, Sephora, and some other store at 3 malls in my area. I did it 4 days in a row. The last time was this morning. I haven't been caught. I doubt if store cameras saw me. Can the police come home and arrest me? What should I do now? Can I return the items to the store? Can I leave for another country?

Re: shoplifting
Yes, the police can arrest you at home. But they don't usually bother for shoplifting. Returning the items is a good idea, but don't do it yourself. Use a third party because you don't want to incriminate yourself. And don't give the third party any details of how you got it. You don't want them to turn you in, even by accident, under pressure. You may leave for another country unless you are not a US citizen. If not a citizen, I recommend you get this definitively resolved before you leave.
