Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
my son took a plea for 31/2 years
by taking a plea does this mean he has to do the full 3 1/2 years. or is there any way possible that he could get out early..

Your son can get time off for good behavior. If this was not a most serious offense he can get 1/3 of his time off. Otherwise, he can get 1/5 of his time off. Also, because he took a plea for 3 1/2 hears doesn't mean the judge will sentence him to that. The judge can give more or less depending on what is presented at the sentencing hearing.
