Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
son in trouble
a deputy talked to my husband and told him our 21 yr son was a likely suspect in a recent robbery based on ppl saying they saw him drinking some of the samy kind of alcohol stolen and that he has been hanging out with a bad crowd who do cocaine and are gang bangers. He wants my son to come talk to him and thinks he can prevent my son from being arrested. What should we advise our son to do?

Re: son in trouble
The deputy will not help your son. Do not go and speak with him. Hire an attorney to represent your son to prevent him from incriminating himself.
It is a little known fact that police/detectives can lie and frequently do in order to get someone to say something incriminating.
