Statue of limitations

If you are not formally charged with a crime and you disappear how long would you need to stay away from the state in order to have the staue of limitation go away. The charge lets say was assualt2 from a bar fight

Unfortunately for you, disappearing from the State will not prevent the charging of a crime. A crime can be charged in your absence. So, leaving or disappearing is not a solution. The best solution is to hire a defense attorney to begin gathering evidence in your favor before it grows stale (witnesses disappear, etc).
