Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
statute of limitations
i was justcharged with twoo misdeameanors that happened over six years ago.i lied and said i was my brother at the time i got the tickett.the prosecutor just found out it was me that commited them.can i still claim statute of limitations have run out.because there is only a two year statute on misdeameanors

Well, there is a "discovery" exception on SOL. Also, the cases may have been filed in time and the issue of identity resolved later. It's certainly worth a shot though.
