Re: theft charge
Okay. You are talking a misdemeanor theft third degree charge. The maximum penalty is up to one year in jail and/or a five thousand dollar fine. The actual outcome will depend on your criminal history, what sort of evidence you can present that you deserve a light sentence, the quality of your attorney, and the strength of the evidence against you (willingess ability of cab driver to identify you, testify against you, the existence of other witnesses, etc). What court has this case? Contact me directly to follow up on this.
