Threats
Could you tell me if a person says that they have a gun and threaten you, but they d not have a gun or if they say they have a bomb but do not, what laws have they broken....Thank you very much

Threats to intimidate (the criminal intention was to frighten or scare someone) may violate a state or federal statutes against terrorist acts.
Depending on just how the words were spoken threats may be assaults under the common law, which most states have enacted as a crime.
