can u sue someone for selling you a crappy car and lied to you?

Yes, you can sue someone for selling you something which in which they knowingly misrepresented the condition of the item. Your challenges will be that most used cars are sold as is unless otherwise specified, and you would have to prove up the misrepresentation (and the burden of proof would be on you).
