Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
violation of no contact order
My husband was convicted of a violation of a no contact order a couple of years ago. And is now being charged with 3 more charges of a VNCO all of which were caused by me. For two of these charges I called my husband and asked him to come over because I was seriously contemplating suicide and he then came over to try to help. I still ended up trying to commit suicide by slitting my wrists. He then called 911, I was sent to the ER and he was arrested and charged with a VNCO. For the third charge I was upset following my husband in my SUV while he was driving another car knowing I was behind him he tried to get away from me. He stopped at a stop sign. I was following him too closely and couldn't stop in time and I rear-ended his vehicle he contacted the police and he was arrested and charged again. He has jury trial in 2 days and I'm wondering if you think he is going to get convicted. Please help with any comments you can provide.

Re: violation of no contact order
Poor fellow. You've succeed at really messing up his life. He'll probably be convicted, especially if all cases are tried together. I take it that's what you were hoping for or you wouldn't have behaved as you have. I take it that as a witness in the case you'll take your oath of telling the truth seriously and explain to the jury that you were following him and that you attempted suicide from which he saved you.
I assume you are in counseling but if not you need to engage a mental health professional immediately.
