Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Washington
discrimation on property tax laws
$35,000 income exemption limit for single and married persons for proprety taxes in the State of Washington. It should be double for married couples. This law is like the old federal law on your income taxes. A couple has to divorce and split their retirement income to qualify. I have written to our state politicians about this and never got an answer. Because we have worked hard all our lives we are penalized. I call this discrimination when it forces an old married couple to divorce because of finances.
