Legal Question in DUI Law in Washington

Dui

In Feb. of 2007 I came to Arkansas from Washington and got a DUI. The police took my Wa. license and suspended my driving privilidge, I still had my Arkansas license from when I lived here b4. I went to treatment paid reinstatement fee. Driving privilidge is back, well now Wa. state says I have to meet their requirements for DUI. I am not a resident of Wa. anymore. The DUI happened in Arkansas not Washington. Can they do that legally?

Re: Dui

Greetings!

Yes, you have to comply with some basic requirements from Washington because you were a Washington licensed drivwer at the time of your DUI arrest in Arkansas. I advise that you contact the Washington DOL at 3609023900 and find out what needs to be done now that you are a Arkansas resident. If you need any further help, please contact me here in Washington. Good Luck!
