Legal Question in DUI Law in Washington
Extended detention
I was arrested on the 17th of June and released unconditionally on the 24th, with no charges filed. What are my remedies in law?

Re: Extended detention
It depends. Just because you were released does not mean that no charges will be filed. That may take time. What is more important is whether you took a breath test at the time you were arrested. If so, you only have 30 days from the date of the arrest to request a DOL hearing. If you do not, then you will be suspended for 90 days 60 days after the date of your arrest. Did you take a breath test? There are too many unanswered questions for me to give you any knowledeable advice in this forum. You need to speak to an attorney immediately! Let me know if I can help. Good Luck!
