Fail to appear on a dui after judge orderd fulfilment of requirements.
after my Minor Consumption of alcohol Operating a Motor Vehicle, when i was nineteen, the judge orderd Victims impact panel, alcohol assestment, fees and community service i was to report back with all this done but when i went back i only had a fraction of the fees paid with none of the orders complete so he gave me another court date to come back with the victims impact pannel complete, but i flew to alaska to support my girlfriend with the birth of our child, as a nineteen year old i only had 200 in my pocket in a another state. I missed my court date and its been 2 years later to this date, i Have completed everything the judge orderd up here in alaska finaly have vacation time off from work for me to fly down at the end of the month, but before i apear to see him should i be worried of jail time? because i am the main support of my girlfriend and 2 year old son, aslo i would lose my job of 2 years.

You have a very sympathetic case and showing up back in court may allow you to avoid any penalty, but there is no guarantee because it is entirely up to the judge. Your best bet is to find a local attorney who knows the judge and get them to go into court with you. I practice in Pierce County and know most of the judges well. Although I also practice in King County, I don't know the judges as well and would refer you so someone else to maximum your bang for your buck. Since this is a one time appearance, most attorneys won't charge you an arm and a leg. Having an respected advocate to present your case will make a world of difference.

You very much should be concerned about jail time. The best thing is to hire a local attorney to communicate with the prosecutor's office to at least determine what they'll be asking of the judge before you appear. Having them on your side can go a long way to avoiding the wraith of the judge.
