False information on DUI ticket

I am being charge with a DUI! on the ticket the officer checked the box saying ''ID on person'' when really he got my info from my car plates.(he admitted to).If a ticket is filed out incorrectly does it hold up in court?

It doesn't really matter where or how he got the information about your identity. What really matters is the reason he stopped you in the first place; i.e., was there probable cause to stop you for any violation of law committed inhis presence? This is a very serious driving offense and our state has the harshest laws in the nation regarding DUI. My advice: get a good lawyer ASAP and don't think about insignificant technicalities that will not help you get out of this situation. Good Luck!
